Democrat Scott Murphy, who is running in an election for Downstate New York, has been branded a “terrorist supporter” by Republican opponents for not supporting the death penalty.
It truly does say something when the only way death penalty supporters can justify their barbarism in a so called democratic civil society, is to cry tragedy when dead terrorists escape the death penalty.
Aside from terrorists evading the death penalty with the loophole of already being dead, I’ve always found it weird that nations such as the US, can teach citizens not to kill, by killing. Killing is wrong, don’t do it or we’ll fucking kill you, that’s not wrong, that’s right!
Republican Paul Lindsay says:The GOP logic refers to a Murphy interview where he was asked the abstract question, would you support the death penalty for the 9/11 hijackers had they survived? According to a GOP media advertisement, answering no is a “National Tragedy”.
“By opposing the death penalty for the terrorists who carried out the 9/11 attacks, it is abundantly clear that Murphy is unable or unwilling to empathize with the loss so many New York families faced on that tragic day.”
